Please see the diversion route for a localised road closure that is taking place, from 6th February 2026 – Approx Summer 2027, the major road works need to be completed to reconstruct the embankment.
For those who will be arriving to Whitemead and use the junction from the town of Lydney to access site via Forest Road you will need to pre plan your route using google maps or the AA route planner.
Access via the village of Bream and Yorkley is available from Lydney if travelling off the A48.
The road closure is 24/7 with no access available.
