Due to the continued popularity of our camping and touring holidays, we’re delighted to introduce a brand-new area of grass camping pitches at Whitemead Forest Park for Summer 2026.
Set within a peaceful woodland location at the lower end of the park, close to our Dell pitches and Hollow Glamping Pods, these new pitches are perfect for guests seeking a back to basics outdoor experience in the heart of the beautiful Forest of Dean.
This area offers a more laid-back and rustic experience while still benefiting from the convenience and facilities of the main site. Whether you’re pitching a tent overnight or settling in for an extended stay, it’s the perfect spot to unwind, switch off, and reconnect with nature.
Designed primarily for tents and VW-style campervans, these grass camping pitches do not include electric hook-up, unlike our standard gravel and grass touring pitches. By offering this simple, non-electric camping option, we’re able to provide additional availability during the busiest summer periods, when demand for camping pitches is at its highest.
Our seasonal pitches offer full use of all our fantastic free on-site facilities including the leisure club, free entertainment programme, and more.
Because we want you to get the most for your money at Whitemead Forest Park our prices are all inclusive. Therefore, there are no additional charges for:
Early Check In
For just £5.00 you can arrive on your pitch from 12pm, get set up and enjoy your day! T&C’s apply and more information is available on the bookings page.
Late Check Out
24hrs before you are due to depart you can enquire about a late check out on your pitch, if your pitch is available you can pay half the pitch cost and stay till 6pm.
Pitches will be available from 2pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 11am on the morning of departure.
For health and safety reasons and to make sure everyone has a pleasant stay at Whitemead Forest Park, we ask that all pitches are used in line with our pitching instructions, code of conduct and terms and conditions.
Q. When can I arrive?
A. Pitches are available from 2pm on your arrival date and must be vacated by 11am on your day of departure. Early arrival and late departures may be available at certain times of year (extra charges apply).
Q. Is there a minimum stay?
A. For caravan and camping pitches can be booked on a nightly basis however there is a minimum stay policy of two nights on weekends.
Q. How many people can I bring?
A. Pitches may be occupied by a maximum of six people.
Q. Can I bring my dog?
A. Yes! we are pet friendly. There is no maximum per pitch, dogs are charged at £1.50 per dog, per night.
